In this eight-storey building, visitors first take the escalator to the top floor and then go down a corridor-shaped passage through the aquarium. Each aquarium area is divided so that sea creatures around the world can be appreciated. The "Pacific Ocean" exibit, the largest tank in the aquarium spanning from the sixth floor to the fourth floor, has a maximum length of 34 metres, a depth of 9 metres, and contains 5,400 tons of water. In the Pacific Ocean, whale sharks, which are not often seen in aquariums, can be seen. The two popular whale sharks are named "Kai-kun" "Yu-chan" respectively, and they are a symbol of this aquarium.
