    Kamigata Ukiyoe Museum

Dotonbori was once home to numerous playhouses, with kabuki, dramatic recitation, and other forms. It was like Japan’s Broadway.
This site is the world’s only museum with a permanent exhibit of ukiyo-e woodblock prints from the Kansai area dedicated to describing the playbill from playhouses of the era.
What these prints convey is the ancient feel of Osaka and Japan’s unique culture. The theme of the exhibit rotates every three months.
There are workshops where you can try your own hand at woodblock prints, as well as an accessories shop offering traditional Japanese items.
The museum shop on the first floor is also quite popular.
